The All-Electric SUV

The prototype Grecale Folgore debuted in Milan earlier this year and includes all the latest features you would expect from the brand. The luxury brand wants to go fully electric by the year 2030, so the debut of the Grecale is a step closer to its goal. Smaller than the Levante, the Grecale Folgore is the brand’s first leap toward electric vehicles. Folgore means “lightning” in Italian, making it a suitable name for the manufacturer’s first electric vehicle.

Maserati follows other luxury car brands in the electric car market, however, due to Maserati’s focus on raspy exhaust noise, their shift towards electric vehicles comes as more of a surprise. Let’s take a closer look at the Maserati Grecale Folgore and the Grecale GranTurismo Folgore below.

Grecale Folgore

The Maserati Folgore is the electric version of the new Grecale crossover and packs plenty of performance and technology inside. Expected for the 2024 model year, the Grecale Folgore will be equipped with a 400-volt battery, and produce up to 523 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It can exceed 175 mph and has a 0-60 time of just 3.3 seconds.

Grecale Folgore GranTurismo

Details on the Grecale Folgore GranTurismo have not yet been disclosed, however, this version of the Grecale is planned to be a coupe equipped with an 800-watt battery producing up to 1,200 horsepower. It will be able to hit 62 mph in under three seconds and hit a top speed of up to 186 mph.
